Title: “Escape From Ixion.” This is a logline for my NaNoWriMo novel this year. At first, I wasn’t even sure I would participate, so I went to Chat GPT for help with an idea. I know what you’re thinking, but I don’t let the AI write the whole thing for me. I just chatted with it about possible ideas. After a while, I mentioned that while I usually don’t do “X meets Y” ideas, one of my previous projects was “Yojimbo meets Twelfth Night in Space,” I asked the AI to suggest another unexpected combination like that. The AI pitched “The Count of Monte Cristo meets Firefly.” I felt this was kind of meh at first, but then I started to get ideas on sci-fi-twists on some aspects of Alexander Dumas’s novel. So, the AI just pitched a concept, and the rest came from me.
