When he escapes from a woman who wants to keep him, a runaway boy must decide what to do with his abusive father when he discovers that he survived the first attempt to kill him.

Once a Killer
A twelve year old boy shoots his abusive father who is trying to choke his mother. He runs away, is taken in by a mentally ill woman who wants to keep him since her own son died some years ago. The boy eventually breaks free and returns home to discover that his father is still alive but his mother is dead, most likely at the hands of his father. The next morning the boy shoots his father again, this time fatally, then burns down his house and runs.
