      you should mention “daughter” for clarity

      But what’s your Inciting event got to do with his goal “to withstand his business from failing and the woman he fell in love with”

      If he’s competent (young and upcoming) and the girl’s in love too, what’s the distributor got to do anything about that?
      Even if he stops dealing with this “young and upcoming producer”, there are other distributors…

      Are you sure about the conflict?

      ‘After getting in trouble intimidating his female-distributor, the young promising producer must retrieve his business and his personal life.’

      If above mentioned line describes what you meant, then, this needs more work. You can come up with better confrontation. A hedonistic behavior is not an ideal major-conflict.

      youngDolla;

      so I read your detail,
      It’s great that his business partner (the distributor guy) would have problem with him fooling around his ex, especially after she dumped him!

      Still, the Inciting Incident shouldn’t be “the distributor finds out” but when the producer falls for her knowing she’s ex of his business partner

      Then midpoint can take care of distributor finding out his ex with the producer

      So another version could be something like:

      “After falling for the girl who dumped his associate, a producer must keep it a secret or risk business he grinded his nights for”

      Best wishes for your project

      “When he discovers the woman he’s fallen for is his New partner’s ex, an up-and-coming producer must…”
