A fraternity of boys from disadvantaged beginnings rise to some of the highest seats of power under the watchful eye of a man determined to break through the ‘establishment’.

This does sound like something that could me made. Reminds me of Sleepers.

But not as specific. Maybe you could include a motivation more specific that just breaking the establishment? Is it revenge?
Also, is there a villain? Someone actually stopping them, or is it just society in general. Would work better if we could focus on character.

The irony of the disadvantaged becoming the establishment is interesting. I like it.
