Generated some interest here. Can't see where the killer connection comes in, nor why a firefighter is wrassling volcanoes, but I get the premise - that something odd happens in an extreme situation. Intrigued enough to want to know if he avoids turning to ash. Small picky ambiguity - I'm assuming it's the firefighter is ash-bound, but as worded, could be the killer.
