I like the premise of this one. It feels like there is some good story potential there. I think you should keep it general and not give the character's name. Let the reader of the logline fill in their own impression of the character.
For example: A vietnam veteran returns home to find his home and family are gone.
Also, maybe provide a timeline on him. Perhaps the character is home only on a week pass and he has to find the answers to his question before he is required to return.
