Since the DEA agent is one of the main characters I wouldn't start with "The DEA recruits..." Instead I would start with, "An (adjective) DEA agent recruits."

You should mention him in your logline and give him an adjective to describe him. Is he gruff? hardworking? corrupt? Loyal? Aggressive?

The DEA are simply using the students as eyes and ears on the inside, I didn't see it as them carry guns and badges, just helping out. And also, I do see it as a sort of "21 jump street" meets "Breaking Bad"

The student running the operation and the head DEA agent are the two main characters, and foil characters of each other. And until the end, it's up to the viewer to decide which side they are rooting for. Even though the DEA agent is doing what is "right," we grow close to the student and once we understand his motive, some may consider him the "good guy"
