An escaped convict is ensnared in a plot by a corrupt Sheriff to kidnap the young heiress to an oil fortune, complicating his quest for freedom.
The title is possibly a little misleading - it just doesn't seem to match your genre to me, but I could be wrong here. 'Complicating' for me is too weak a word for a logline, makes it sound like a flimsy story. How about: 'jeopardising', or 'compromising'.
