I’ve actually committed to a different version of the story after extensive rewrites of the original logline which was initially a Western about a reluctant US Marshal from New York sent to capture a murderous pedophile alive. The journey of creating a story never fails to amaze.

A newer draft of the logline reads as:

A short-tempered U.S. Marshal harboring a fierce grudge against sex offenders reluctantly agrees to protect a rebellious teenager standing trial for rape and his overprotective single mother when they receive death threats in a hostile suburb.

Hey Bilmore,What exactly does the MC do to try and stop these terrorists that endangers innocent lives and her own; what's her main course of action? She's an "ambitious reporter", so does she travel to dangerous enemy territory undercover and infiltrate the terrorists' group?

    Hey tomasina,

dpg touched on the older sister “disappearing”; as already suggested, clarify that further: did this ?young lady elope with this stranger or was she kidnapped by him?

And, this is just a suggestion, consider reversing the roles for the sisters. The older sister (a successful businesswoman and estranged) could be?the one who reluctantly helps her untrustworthy alcoholic mother to find the younger, more immature little sister.

I disagree with Foxtrot25 about the MC being a loner, yet going on a road trip with someone; that’s irony, which is encouraged to use in loglines. Reluctant protagonists/heroes in film are generally loners. And since being a loner is typically an undesirable trait, it is understandable that this is who the character is in the beginning of the story.?
