This sounds similar to the Bourne movies. I'm not sure if I would be rooting for a cop and a criminal to get out of the country alive unless one of them had a redeeming quality. Is there something else about the cop that makes him sympathetic? He's "earnest" so he is trying to help the criminal??? WRead more

I’m not sure if I would be rooting for a cop and a criminal to get out of the country alive unless one of them had a redeeming quality. Is there something else about the cop that makes him sympathetic? He’s “earnest” so he is trying to help the criminal??? What is it that makes the viewers want him to help her?

American Pie meets Sister Act is a good example of what I was trying to convey. It might be a little more like Harold and Kumar meets Forgetting Sarah Marshall. (Where the main character is Harold and the buddy is Kumar – instead of weed he loves women and instead of a vacation – as in Forgetting Sarah Marshall – he’s actually hiding from killers.)
My main character, like Harold, is in love. My character is still in love with his fiance who unexpectedly called off the wedding and disappeared. He finds her again, unexpectedly, on the island where he is hiding from the mob.
His buddy, who mistakenly booked the vacation to the nunnery, loves women instead of weed (like Kumar).

So…..what do you think of this…..

A one-night stand with a mob boss’s girlfriend lands heartbroken guy in hot water. His Casanova friend books them a quick trip out of town to an all-woman resort — a nunnery! Little does he know, the girl that broke his heart is there too.

I would probably see this movie. I think this logline works well because I envisioned three comedic actors in the roles - if we can picture it, it must be good! :)
