He has been imprisoned after the war for unrelated activities.

They are must find this commander so he will pay for war crimes committed.

I came into this thinking Western Apocalypse Now and then things started to get complicated.

Thanks for your well thought out comments.

As attempt to belatedly connect with her estranged and recently deceased sister, a woman goes on an experimental vacation trip with the sister's avant-garde theater troupe, in which a real-time play unfolds as the itinerary progresses. When she witnesses a murder, then narrowly escapes being a murder victim herself, her trip becomes a life-and-death struggle to determine what's part of the script and what is real.

Here's a stab at it: When a woman goes on the road with her deceased sister?s experimental theater troupe, she must decide what's real and what's fiction or she may be written out" of the play for good.

This is my kind story. Congrats on making the Black List. Figured I'd humbly take a stab at simplifying your log line: Two brothers, desperate to save the family farm, embark on a bank robbing spree that puts them on a collision course with a pair of determined Texas Rangers.
