A terrifying event leads an unremarkable person, Nik, to develop a debilitating anxiety disorder. Narrowly avoiding suicide he is propelled on a new path.
Learning that small social interactions can help him cope with his disorder, leads Nik to believe that explosive social interactions will cure it all together.
Beginning by slapping a cop for a terrifying chase he is well on his way.
Along this colourful path Nik witnesses the attempted assassination of a stranger. Narrowly escaping, but clearly seen by the hitman, Nik realises his only chance of survival is to complete the assassination himself. Believing the hitman will not come after him if he does.
After an explosive confrontation Nik teams up with the stranger, Ben. They rely on an uneasy alliance to give themselves a chance of surviving the torturous, unstoppable hitman.
They make their last stand on the fifth floor of an office building crammed with explosives running floor to floor on a closed off movie set.

Since I struggled to envision “explosive social interactions” I am leaning toward him becoming an anarchist or adopting anarchist behavior on his journey to the cure.
You need opposition to him achieving his goal e.g.
A story: He must atone for his anarchist ways.
B Story: He must overcome a run-in with a hitman.
