“A young woman has to protect two children as they desperately try to escape a man with a fractured mind.”

It sounds like the real goal here is for the woman to help the kids ESCAPE, not protect them. Otherwise it's open ended, which is not good.

And how did they get stuck with the psycho? There's room for an inciting incident in this logline.
