A teenage boy, desperate and lost, is ‘adopted’ by a violent vigilante. But will he have what it takes to join the gang, or will it go horribly wrong?

What is the boy desperate for; love, acceptance, vengeance? Is he lost, as in I can't find my way back home? or is it an emotional loss that causes the desperation? If the boy has fallen in with a violent vigilante it sounds to me that things have already gone horribly wrong
