Thanks for the reply. I am not intending to have a similar story to conspiricy theory, however i have looked at certain theories for the basis of the story.
At present the doctor is only a means to get the story told, but i am contemplating having him or her playing more of a part towards the end, but i guess if i have her as female there may to many comparisons to the other movie.

There is something close to "Conspiracy Theory" in your story. Is the Doctor a main character too? A helper?
Are they a male-female pair?

For the atmosphere, some movies like "The Trial" by Orson Welles (1963) and by David Jones (1993) can be of interest.
As well as "Un papillon sur l'?paule" by Jacques Deray (1978) and "Les espions" by Henri-Georges Clouzot (1957) if you are French, Italian or Deutch speaking.
