In a dystopic world divided into factions, a young girl must defeat a conspiracy to destroy her faction, Divergents, people who don't fit in, before she and all Divergents are exterminated. (31 words, 219 characters)
Not an easy story line to condense into a logline. On the other hand, the movie was an adaptation of a best-selling YA novel. Thus, like the "Hunger Games", the concept came to Hollyweird's attention as a tested and proven money maker in another media. It's fate was not completely dependent on the logline.
