Not sure if you have to say five-card poker since traditional poker is played with five cards, so you can cut it to just poker.
If there is anything to change in the logline, perhaps the description, ‘one of the world’s most skilled gamers’ is a bit long, why not, ‘the world’s best gamer,’ or ‘world champion poker player’?
But these are minute details. The logline is solid if you don’t want to change it.

Great logline!
“a timid sanctuary wolf” = protagonist
“escape clutches of animal smugglers” = inciting incident
“reunite with his beloved caretaker” = story goal
If this were my logline, I’d wonder if the story might go deeper.
Clearly the story stakes are death: “before the poachers get to him first.”.
But what might be the potential character arc?
If the ‘timid’wolf, were to actually achieve his goal, of returning to care, might our hero’s character have not changed? From safety, through to experiencing a treacherous African Savanna, would surely change a character. From Timid -> through to -> Courageous, feels more logical an arc.
Will our little sanctuary wolf even need his caretaker anymore, after this adventure, could be a potential plot twist. Adding story depth and complexity.
