Consider the following based on your synopsis:
The suicide attempt due to his debilitating anxiety disorder is your protag’s major event aka call to action.
Since I struggled to envision “explosive social interactions” I am leaning toward him becoming an anarchist or adopting anarchist behavior on his journey to the cure.
You need opposition to him achieving his goal e.g.
A story: He must atone for his anarchist ways.
B Story: He must overcome a run-in with a hitman.

Many of your plot points can easily change his major event depending on where your story begins. Hope you find this constructive, take care.

Interesting premise, leaning towards: “A dejected man turns to the dark web in order to auction the chance to help kill a thief when uncovering his home is being invaded” Took some liberties with auction plausibility via the dark web – you get the idea. Make this yours, keep going!
