A teenage girl, who has struggled with Autism her whole life, spots a bright balloon and tries to show the person nearest her but they don't understand, instead they give her a rubik's cube. It is only when she finishes the puzzle, that they understand her and see the balloon.

There's an intriguing post-WW2 French feeling about this. But one problem I always had with those films was I never could figure out what all the beautiful imagery "meant". As an elementary school teacher with several autistic students, I can feel/internalize the issue of metacommunication. I just don’t know what just got “meta communicated”.
Please keep sculpting! This is intriguing!

Who is the main character? "Takes care of each other" is not interesting enough to expect people buy a ticket to see it. The abuse won't help either, it will rather turn more people away. The concept needs some work, or else we need more detail…

    Good luck!

I should note that the reason I changed it to 'when he returns from war' is because it explains how he himself wasn't lost with the city. If the city disappeared over night - how is it he didn't go with it?
