Either:
Then what?? What becomes his objective goal, the dramatic problem after he resigns?
Or:
If his resignation is how the script ends, then that’s a spoiler, and it is not advisable for a logline to give away the denouement of the plot.
I had to google both conditions. It’s better not to be too specific, if it’s not something most people know by name.
(Why do they have to have the same disease, by the way?)
The other thing is… Would anyone “lose faith” from such an incident? What was the big deal? He thought he could play Jesus and he found out he couldn’t after all. A faithful priest would be more humble than that. Being a “celebrity priest” (is this a TV role?) it sounds as if his ego was the one taking the bullet. Perhaps his faith was not there to be lost in the first place. In other words, what’s nice about this guy? Is his journey one from arrogance to humility?
I have to agree with both dpb and glannis,
I can’t tell whether the story starts with the priest renouncing his father, or if renouncing his faith is the end of the story and the script is all about the events that lead up to that conclusion.
