Strike: “disbelieving that he is a”. That he sets out to find his ‘father’ belies the ‘disbelieving’ part. The rest is more a teaser than a logline. So the only ‘hook’ presented here would be a ‘personal choice’ hook. That is to say I might want to read this script if I was into basketball, product of rape or secret daddy stories. So I have three WHO’s and no real WHAT’s or Whys. Here’s a sample of a logline presented as you have presented yours:
A confirmed bachelor, tired of being wooed, sets out to find a bride with unexpected results.
Now I could spice that up with some known brand:
Crocodile Dundee, tired of being single, goes on a walkabout with unexpected results.
