Your lead has this very big problem: Getting transported to an alternate universe.
Then your lead has this very little problem: He has an exam
So the goal is to get back before his exam.
Either, you should show in the logline why this exam is the most important thing in you lead characters life. If he fails something bad and life altering will happen.
Or, you should give us some other motivation.
Because right not the logline is unbalanced. (I mean the lead character seems to have bigger fish to fry than just taking an exam)
Richiev has a very good point.
Moreover, you don’t specify in which manner the laws of nature can be rewritten. We need to know this?it is what makes your alternate universe unique.
Lastly, if laws of nature can be rewritten, can’t he hack the exam and pass without taking it?
Agree with the others.
Say more than college student, even if the protag is an innocent type without a significant flaw. While we await clarifications on the rest, consider what exactly is the hook. The alternate universe is half the equation; the other half is the specific protag. What makes this guy’s time in the universe the funniest or hardest or x-est of all possible protags? Like Groundhog Day, there’s the alternate universe of the day repeating in that small town and then there’s the specific protag who has the hardest time in it and, of course, the most to learn from it.
