Increase the conflict;
“An black attorney must decide whether or not to stand by her Caucasian husband after learning that he was responsible for a vicious, racist attack 22 years earlier…against her.” (30 words)
Great concept, btw.
Geno Scala (judge)
Perhaps try and start with the discovery first then bring in the decision and definitely as Sharkeatingman suggested describe her more accurately.
Only thing is the MC could use more of a force to struggle with to add weight to the moral dilemma. Perhaps their child is the victim of a recent attack or someone close to her was killed by the husbands gang years before etc…
Because the logline seams to lack a clear AN and needs a more significant struggle that said sounds interesting would love to see such a story.
After discovering her husband was responsible for a racist attack years before a black (enter job title or other character description) must decide whether to stand by him or not in light of history repeating itself on their child.
Hope this helps Nir.
Thank you Nir (thanks again Sharkeatingman) for your comments/advice. Like the “child” idea but it isn’t what the story is about. It is between a man and a woman. Their love. And later, that love fractured. A history returning to haunt. Public outcry. Dilemma and division within the family as well as friends. Her husband is in fact a High Court lawyer…jut to add a touch of irony into the mix 🙂
