“When he falls for his best friend’s daughter, a middle-aged man who hasn’t dated in years, tries to navigate the relationship without losing his best friend in the process.”

      ———————————————————————

1: I started with the forward story instead of the back story.

2: I also added ‘best’ friend because it gives the lead something to lose. Now the steaks are even higher.

3: Because it’s his best friends daughter; it’s possible if the lead continues with this relationship with the daughter, he might lose his best friend, (Perhaps the one who helped him through the last 20 years) but at the same time, he doesn’t want to lose the new relationship. So he has to walk a tightrope where he tries to continue the relationship but also tries to maintain his friendship. (Then you add obstacles in the way of the lead character)

      btw great concept

Shorter version: After a health scare, a middle-aged widower decides it’s time to find love again – but soon finds romance blossoming with his friend’s daughter.
