All points have been made that I could mate, they even made one last year called? The Wedding Ringer?with Kevin Hart last year which also follows a similar premise. You definitely need to tell us your hook, what made you interested in this movie and made you HAVE to write this logline down. Hope this helps.

      Agreed with the above.

One way you could differentiate it from I Love You Man, is to give her a big character flaw that would increase her obstacle of getting friends. Think of Seven of Nine from Star Trek Voyager getting married, how hard would it be for a former Borg to get friends over for her wedding?

What if your MC is a known sociopath, or better yet a former serial killer – good luck getting anyone to attend her wedding.

Yes, what differentiates this story from “I Love You Man” other than the protagonist is a woman? ?Seems like a similar, too similar, predicament.

You should know there was a movie done with almost the exact same premise, except it was a man instead of a woman.

It was titled “I love you man” and was quite clever. It was filmed in the formula of a romantic comedy but instead a man and a woman, it was two men. The idea was, groom to be has no male friends and needs a best man.

That does not mean you should abandon your idea, just that you should know there is a movie with the same set-up and hopefully you will find your idea has a completely different take.

      Hope that helped.
