As CraigDGriffiths said.? The “something” nemesis is too vague as is the “safety” solution.? I don’t know where the story engine is going.
I understand the story engine. But what is the ?something? and what does ?safety? mean?
It reads like you?re trying to say Zombie apocalypse without saying Zombie apocalypse. True, by now it?s a cliche but at the same time, it still has an audience and most decision makers will see right through the wording. Best if you celebrate the genre instead of hiding it. You have an interesting twist in that there is one person, or thing, that can control the infected population, use this to separate yours from the countless of other post-apocalypse stories out there.
I like the idea that there is something controlling the ‘infected’
That would definitely be the hook of the story.
From my own TV experience, I am infering some kind of vampiric or zombie like pandemic infection with a supra-natural being mind controlling the infected.
The ?Logline needs to be more explicit.
Also what is safety: an island, a building, …?
When her hometown is ravaged by herd of zombies mind controlled by supra-natural being, a shy young women must lead the survivors across infected land to safety.
