Do you mean an alien standing against the supremacy of humans in a colony of their own creating?

      Another take could be:
In a human colonised world, an alien politician must fight their corrupt and supremacist system to rise to the top.

(It still lacks an inciting incident and a clear protagonist)

Would like more info. His personalty traits, how he fights and what exactly is gained once he?s on top. Ideally, what?s lost in case he doesn?t make it.

If this story is still in the creation stage, you might consider the Old Testament story of Moses, Your story and the story of the Ten Commandments?could have an interesting parallel.

I only say this because Moses’s adult story begins when he sees a laborer getting victimized, this event (Eventually) leads to “Let my people go”

The audience would need to identify with the aliens over the humans. How could you pull that off easily? Even Avatar had the aggressive human side provide the protagonist.

Be careful you don’t write this as an anti-human story, unless you have the distribution set for an alien world already 😉

As Foxtrot25 said.? Why would an audience root for an alien species?? Particularly one in conflict with our own species?

I see this as ET meets Ghandi

The Alien wants to win office to bring about change and return self determination.

An alien wants to win an election and get the power to expell humans that colonised his plant but a corrupt system and attack by human supremacist put himself and all he loves in danger.

Really wordy. But my first attempt.

This is a run of the mill criticism of colonialisation relocated to an alien plant. “Evil” humans colonise and oppress, native fights back – there have been so many stories told about this to date, aside from the alien, I don’t see how this brings anything new to the table. What does the alien do that makes his actions interesting? How does he plan on freeing his people? Will there be a revolt?
