Too pacific = too weak.? Well, a character can start out that way, but the logline should indicate a? plot?line that forces her to grow, ?to?become stronger, a more assertive — and more savvy — leader of her country.? “She refuses”? is a start, but? just saying “No” isn’t enough.? Then what happens?? After?war breaks out, what must she do?

And is this based on an actual historic personage?? Or is it pure fiction?

What kind of world are we in? ?I think that’s important to know up front because use of the word Empress lets me know we’re not in current times.
My initial thought was that it might be worded better like: Despite her good intentions, a weak-willed Empress allows war to break out… (because the word pacific is not generally used this way in my experience.)
It’s important that we know what she must now do as a result of this if she is truly the protagonist. ?And is there an antagonist on the other side? ?Right now it looks like the antagonist is another entire country.

Hello, I can’t picture the movie…?I assume this is not a war movie, It seems more a film about diplomacy, a biopic about an Empress: in this case I’d like to have a better understanding of the character – I think this kind of movie works better when it’s an historical character- but?she doesn’t have to be. Maybe you can be more specific about the country and period if it matters for the story.
