Hi Isabelle! I was wondering about that too (the unfinished nature of the logline), hence why I put it up in this incarnation. I suppose this is more of a “premise” logline, in that it explains the hook. Each season of the show would have its own logline – and then each episode their own logline again!
I put twenty-something as I wanted to highlight the fact that she’s at that point in her life where she’s starting to get her act together – which is precisely when her father and mother’s lives start to fall apart. ‘Young’ is a bit more ambiguous, although I might play around with it anyway because the more I think about it the more I like it!
Thanks!
Sounds like a nice conflicting dynamic to start a series with!
Perhaps: ‘an independent young woman’? The term ‘twenty- something’ is a bit undecided.
I’m not entirely sure if my next comment relates – being a series, but there is no end point to the logline. What must the woman do to stop him moving in/ or to get on living together? There is a beautiful dynamic between characters, but no clear goal of what she has to do as a result of the main event (father announcing he’s moving in), which is what loglines usually do- I think- unless different for a series.
Hope this helps. All the best with it!
