      I was confused as to how the law gets involved until I read your explanation.? Initially I thought maybe he starts becoming a little too cop-like and ends up becoming too abusive, but, that’s not what you meant.? I’d definitely make it clear in the logline how that happens.

      Is there a specific threat to the homeless community? Something we the reader can visualize?

      Something like this (Although your story would be different)

      “When his homeless community is attacked by illegal migrant workers who want to take their squatting grounds, A former soldier leads his ragtag community against those who would harm them.”
