The girl has no objective goal.
I think it’s fitting that the title of the film is called the catalyst … because as far as a story goes, that’s all you’ve really provided for us. The catalyst for events. You’ve described what is likely to happen in the first ten minutes of the film, but I won’t pay the price of a movie ticket for the first ten minutes. Like Karel says, what is the goal? What are the stakes?
From this logline, Annabelle is an impossibly passive character. It all happens to her – and she does nothing. In fact, there is no story.
What is Annabelle’s goal? How is she going to restore order? This will give you the direction for the film.
In terms of the character, who is Annabelle? What is her age, function, flaw? What will Annabelle learn?
