During World War 2, when two sisters join the first female professional baseball league, they?must struggle to make it succeed despite their sibling rivalry.
      (25 words)
      A League of Their Own

But isn’t the hook of the story the historical novelty of a professional female baseball league? ?Should a logline be built around that hook? ?Is the sibling rivalry a secondary plot, a framing device to play out a particular subjective problem, the sibling rivalry, as well as be (fairly) true to what really happened?

Fwiw. I’m not sure and I haven’t see the movie in a long time. ?Maybe time to re-view it.

I do believe one of the flaws of the above posted line is the girls are not actually put on different teams, later in the story, the younger sister chooses to move to a different team (if I remember correctly.

Two baseball-loving sisters join a newly-formed women’s baseball league. But as one sister’s accomplishments on the field outshine the other, a rivalry is spurned & the sisters part ways, only to face off in the league championship.

      — Just thought I’d take a shot at it.

“In wartime, a farm girl and her sister join a new women?s baseball league but when they are put on different teams, sibling rivalries are played out in a game for the championship.”
What does wartime have to do with it? You say new?woman‘s league, so it’s not as if the war takes all of the men and the women must play in their place.

When two sisters join a new women’s baseball league on different teams, they must compete against each other for the championship.
