What does wartime have to do with it? You say new?woman‘s league, so it’s not as if the war takes all of the men and the women must play in their place.

I do believe one of the flaws of the above posted line is the girls are not actually put on different teams, later in the story, the younger sister chooses to move to a different team (if I remember correctly.

But isn’t the hook of the story the historical novelty of a professional female baseball league? ?Should a logline be built around that hook? ?Is the sibling rivalry a secondary plot, a framing device to play out a particular subjective problem, the sibling rivalry, as well as be (fairly) true to what really happened?
