Just curious, Why is the lead character driven to build the tower? Every story (Even ones based on true events) has a point of view.

To me it seems important to establish early on what factor is driving the lead character that he ‘must’ build this tower, because his drive is what will connect the audience to the lead character.

The inciting incident was ?the 1889 World Exposition in Paris. Eiffel’s design won the competition for the architectural centerpiece.

I don’t think “improbable” is necessary. ?The drama of the plot ?arises not from improbability, but from the public opposition and the engineering problems that had to be overcome. ?From the struggle to build it, ?the risk of failure, ?the stakes if it did fail.

Sounds like a decent premise that would be interesting to explore.

Potentially a great story line for a movie. Love the title, but why Little? Does it imply something that happens? Intrigued architect here.

Grabbed my attention straight away. My only question is why it was so important for him to build it – why made him keep fighting against the odds to finish it? Pride? Ambition? Passion?
