A rejected astronaut gets a second chance when he is chosen to pilot a private mission to salvage a huge bounty orbiting Mars, but success means getting there first.
This sounds like a great premise for a comedy, but as Foxtrot25 pointed out the reward needs to be larger than the expense to retrieve it. And as mentioned above, who is the MC and who is racing him/her to the loot?
Wouldn’t it cost just as much to retrieve those coins?
It reminds of Ready Player One with the person passing on and leaving a clue to his fortune- That isn?t a bad thing as plenty of films are similar in premise, but go different directions.
However, you need a protagonist in the Logline someone who will need to chase this goal.
In a logline, you have a lead character, something happens to that lead character to give them a goal. There are obstacles, sometimes a ticking clock or some irony…
Who is the lead character?
From the way it’s written, it doesn’t seem as if the old Billionaire is the lead character, he is just who starts the story in motion. So the lead character would be one of the men or women in the space race for the coins… who you haven’t named in the logline.
Without a lead character, you have no logline.
