It has already been said, this is not a logline, this is a tagline on a poster for your film. However, also on your poster should be characters and some clues to the plot which is what your logline is missing. Good concept, but try again as a logline is used to clearly and concisely tell your STORY, not the concept.
Agreed with the above, best to re draft with the missing elements.
On a side note, I think this is a fresh new take on the very well trodden AI concept.
If done well this premise could make for a great story.
Good luck, am looking forward?to the next draft, please be sure to re post a new version of an actual logline…
There is heaps you can read about writing a logline. ?Originally it was a way for studio’s to enter what a script was about into their “Log” of scripts. ?They needs a Logline. ?From there it has become a tradition to help clarify ideas and sharpen what makes a script saleable.
Titanic – A socialite wanting to escape her abusive fiance falls in love with a penniless artist on board Titanic. ?You get the point. ?There is a formula but that doesn’t always fit.
Think about – Who, What they want, What they have to do to get what they want , Want or Who is stopping them and What do they do to overcome any obstacles.
Like the world. ?Interested to read your logline.
Interesting concept. ?But it needs to be fleshed out as others have noted with a protagonist who has a goal and an opposing character or obstacle who jeopardizes the protagonist’s effort. ?The stakes are clear enough: the survival of homo sapiens.
This is not a logline.
A logline needs a lead character, who has a goal. The goal is usually brought about by an event which happens early on in the story. Because story is conflict, there needs to be someone or something standing in the way of the lead character achieving his goal, finally there needs to be stakes, a terrible consequence if the lead character fails to achieve his goal… all in about 30 words.
Good luck with your concept, sounds interesting.
“Robots were not the cause of mankind?s destruction. Instead, they will attempt to bring us back from extinction.”
There is no character described here. Is the character a human or a robot? What do the robots do to bring humans back from extinction? Do they use collected DNA to make new ones? What is the plot, who is the character?
Who is the protagonist, what is that character’s goal, and what do they do to reach it?
