The logline does not convey to the reader how the smart kid dying relates to the two lead characters cheating. Nor why we as viewers should want them to succeed.

What is their goal in cheating on the test?
What is standing in the way?
      Why should we care?

Not really sure what’s going on after reading the logline or how the first part even ties in with anything.? It’s like 3 different thoughts put together.

I don’t understand what the first part has to do with the second part or why the kids death is so important.
