Hi,
This tells us who your protagonist is and what he does (heals people) but it’s not the story. What happens in the movie? Does someone try to destroy his way of life, does he have to help save someone integral to his tribe…tell us what journey this medicine has to go on in your story and why.

A college educated doctor must apprentice himself to the last medicine man in the Peruvian Amazon to prevent the old shaman’s profound knowledge of jungle medicine from dying with him.
You have only given us a concept; you have not indicated a goal, antagonist or stakes. Also; is the medicine man your main character, or is he the mentor that your protagonist meets?
It would be great to see a twist on this initial idea…perhaps your medicine man can cure others but he can’t cure himself?
