Maybe they need to try to reverse the effects of whatever turned the population into zompires, and/or prevent it from spreading to the mainland?
How about;
When an anti-terrorist exercise turns the residents of a New England tourist island into blood craving zompires, a dysfunctional group of skaters band together to escape before the military’s containment blast incinerates them all.
They MUST band together to survive.
