He has to find the scientist before the Allies do– there’s his competition. And he will pay very dearly in terms of his career, or even his life, if he fails in the mission. “Uncle Joe” (Stalin) will not be happy.

“Travelling back to 1945, a paranoid Russian spy must
escort a nuclear scientist into the future to win the second cold war.”

      Hope this helps 😀

A thought just occurred to me. Is this a time travel movie? If so you should say, “a Russian master spy must travel back in time to…” Then finish the logline.

I want to know more. Things like what does the character have to go through to get it.

More info about the reason why he needs to transfer the scientist work.
      Good idea though.

      Story is conflict

Without conflict there can be no story. It can be internal conflict, it doesn’t just have to be guns or explosions. But there does have to be conflict to be a story.

In your logline a spy must find a scientist and deliver him to work.

For there to be a story someone or something must stand in the way of the protagonists achieving his goal.

What you present is an interesting setup but in the logline you should present something preventing the spy from getting the scientist to work, something he must overcome.

If you do that your logline will greatly improve.

Hope that helped, good luck with this!
