The concept promises to deliver a varied cast. ? But I’m a little concerned that it likewise can deliver on ?plots.? That is, that the concept is strong enough to deliver fresh new situations, ?problems, complications, episode after episode, season after season for 5 years. ?How long can the dramatic threat to eliminate the cemetery be dragged out? ?
And I think the logline needs to promise a viewing experience that is more compelling than merely “following the afterlives of the dead”. ?Although it would be an inconvenience that the spirits have to relocate, in what way is that a calamity? ?IOW: ?what are the stakes?
Anyway, whatever the makeup of the pilot ensemble, there should be one distinctive character who more than the others drives the narrative. ?Maybe it’s the one who can still communicate with the living. ?Whoever it it is should be the designated main character for the purpose of the logline.

The type of action in each episode needs to be?demonstrated?with the action in the pilot. In other words the logline for a TV series needs to pitch the pilot as an example of what the executives can expect to produce each week.
From what you’ve posted so far it seems as if the cemetery closure is the inciting incident of the pilot episode, this means that a?premise is set up in the pilot which will then be relied on as a mechanism to create further drama in subsequent episodes. You have what’s called a premise pilot, which is great because these are easier to pitch, however you will need a great combination of conflicting characters to make the series a good proposition for executives and producers.
Here is an attempt to logline your pilot episode:
After her cemetery is shut down in order to build a mall on it instead, a ghost must round up all her spirit friends to help her break into the city planner’s office and change the location of the mall to an empty lot nearby.
The logline sets up a situation, but the rubber will have to hit the road with an a script for the pilot episode, a demo, a proof of concept to show producers.
What the setup, incident incident, etc. of the pilot? ?What’s the story line hook in the first episode that’s going to keep the audience tuned in and make them want to come back to find out what happens next week?
Is there a different character each week or is there a lead character such as a producer or a groundskeeper?
