I think this would be improved by letting us know what these boys differences are and what the curse entails.

You could cut the word count down by not mentioning the title or by saying it’s a supernatural adventure, the concept should tell us the genre.

      >> road trip in search of the witch that hexed them with a deadly curse.

And then what? What is their goal after they find her? And if she’s potent enough to curse them, what mojo have they got to make her undo the curse? Which is to say: what is their defining characteristic that makes them candidates to be heroes instead of mere victims, characters who are so interesting millions of people will want to follow them episode after episode?

I can see this as a series. But “set a side their differences” is a single issue that once resolved would have no impact on the series. Explain why the differences and it could last for years.

“Two boys from different sides of the track…” You get the point.

Plus give it a angle that would show ongoing story. Like they are following her trail of carnage… Do they help other cursed people?

And another thing: the kids are on more than a road trip. They’re on a quest.
