How is the midsummer celebration interrupted by the bank robbers? Why is the writer not at the party with his friends, such that he is not caught? Why would a writer possess the skills to save them – is he a washed up crime writer? Did he write Die Hard knock offs and now he has to prove he has the chops? (Kind of Die Hard meets The Three Amigos in that sense). Why is it up to the writer and not the cops? Are the thieves really murderers as well?
“Die Hard meets The Three Amigos” — Awesome. THAT I’d pay to see…
nicholasandrewhalls: The midsummer is celebrated on a small island in Stockholms archipelago, where the bankrobbers thought they could hide in what they belived was an aboned house. It’s isolated, far from any other inhabited island and the contacts with the mainland has been cut off. Didn’t manage to fit that into the logline.
Thanks for the feedback. =)
And Tony Edward: Thanks. Now I know that I’ve got an audience =D

“When a peaceful celebration turns deadly, a washed-up writer stands up for his family and friends to a quintet of desperate bank robbers at gun point.”
I had no idea what a “Midsummer celebration” was until I read this. Think from a producers viewpoint:
I have just received a script and the logline says “When a midsummer celebration…”, I stop and go what the hell is that? on to the next.
“Stranded with no way out, a washed-up writer faces off against a quintet of desperate bank robbers when a peaceful celebration turns deadly on an isolated island.”
Hope this helps. 😀
