I’ve got the setup: “When a young doctor finds a mistreated puppy” however, everything else is fluff that doesn’t mean anything.
Who’s lives do they save, or what kind anyway, and why should I be interested?
What do you actually mean by “forming friendships and living life to the fullest?”
It’s a good setup. There are endless possibilities and directions you could take this story, but I would start with that setup, and then consider the story (conflict) you want to tell is.
What Richiev wrote.
What is it the doctor wants specifically, why, and what’s stopping him or her from getting it?
A script-and a logline- should be about what the character is doing NOW. What is the conflict, what is the specific goal? Is there a specific patient he wishes to save?
After saving an abused puppy, a young doctor sets out to help the others in need.
Story is conflict.
Is there a main conflict in your story that you could present in your logline?
Mostly, I’m left with questions – can you give us a taste of those adventures? Like one or two highlights? Is there a reason the doctor connects with the puppy and adopts him?
