Guessing it’s “a particular AI” you are referring to (like the “Puppet Master” of ghost in the shell)

      how about:
After discovering an AI hacking into the user-psyche of a new social network, the maverick hacker must locate and bug it before all individuality is lost.

The question is, when does the audience find out an AI is hacking peoples brains?

If it’s in the first act it’s an important piece of the logline
If it’s in the third act, it’s a big reveal and should not be in the logline.

      Knightrider:

I appreciate your interest (dare I say obsession) with plots involving memory, but in this case,? I suggest you’re missing a story line with an immediate hook into current events.? That is, what if it turns out that it isn’t the Russians, or the Chinese or the North Koreans who are exploiting social networks with bogus bots to influence world events, but an AI gone rogue?
