      Just a comment on the premise: a bar of gold is roughly worth $35,000. Split 3 ways, that’s not a lot per individual.

      On the actual logline, you gotta give us more info:

      Hero = 3 bungling thieves.
      Goal = to steal a gold bar.
      Stakes = ?
      Antag = ?
      Hook = ?

      Even in it’s simplicity and void of any real information, I think it works, strangely enough. One issue I have is how much could a gold bar be worth? $15K? $8K? Doesn’t seem enough to slve anyone’s “troubles”, much less three guys. Has a “Three Stooges” ring to it, too.

      Gold is such a great topic, and titles are so easy to come up with. The ones you list are good; I immediately though of “Gold Standard”, especially if their “standard” of thievery was so low. “Gold Bar” or “The Gold Bar” works perfectly well.

      Good job. It’s sounds pretty quirky, and quirk works.

      Thanks for the helpful comments! The gold bar in question is a “Good Delivery” bar http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Delivery

      They weigh about 28 pounds (400 ounces) and are worth upwards of $500,000US. The biggest problem is they are hard to fence, and thusly, hilarity ensues. Also, the cops, and the owner of the gold bar are looking for them too.

      I tried to keep it short and sweet. High concept.
