The Beast and the Harlot (Political/Thriller)

Uh, people go to church for eschatology, to movie theaters for entertainment.

Thanks for the advice, Valentin. I'll draw up a vague outline of what, where, when, why and how. Your suggestion with the English Journalist -- meaning he should be the one who is kept alive to keep the plot moving forward, I'll gladly take on board. I've always been fascinated with slow, plodding stories which I would love to do with this. Then it explodes in a war film, I didn't like Omen III as it wasn't based on any of the Scriptures or represented any prophecy in that film well (the antichrist will suffer a fatal head wound then be revived by Satan himself and also suffer a withered arm), I like the idea of setting it in the near future but a future that we can still relate to in this present day, the only way I can take this idea -- to ground it as much as possible is to either have the Middle-Eastern Politician, now head of the International Union, being assassinated by the Israelite soldier as we reveal that the Middle-Eastern Politician is a mixture of artificial intelligence and genetics -- Satan indwelling in pretty much in a body that's not totally human or through super-natural means ie. Satan entered Judas which lead to Judas to betray Christ.

The abomination that causes desolation could be man/AI sitting in God's Holy temple claiming to be God. An artificial intelligence that's hooked into a network that knows everything -- computes everything, everywhere, anyone who has the chip implant. I think that could be a potentially okay idea. I don't want to get too sci-fi with it but just sort of make predictions on where our technology could possibly head to down the road. The antichrist's DNA could be wired with an artificial intelligence-organic system inside, I think the project though should be deemed as innocent by the scientists involved though with no malice intent. They ultimately want to cure diseases like cancer and incurable diseases of this age and as a result, they create this person, raise him up like any other normal human being who excels at everything he does, is remarkable, is a magnet, etc.

The false prophet -- the long-awaited messiah of the Jewish people would arrive at the same time, thinking he is doing God's will. He enters in the same way as Jesus did, on a donkey to much adoration and Israel sets up it's monarchy with the Prime Minister of Israel bowing to him. Rabbis and the Jewish religious would question him leading to him reigning down fire from the sky -- a supernatural feat with no explanation other than what is written in Revelations (he will have the ability to do supernatural feats) leading to undivided loyalty to Israel's new king. The two forces merge with the Politician signing a treaty between Israel and Palestine, the Politician could have been born in Palestine leading to the European Union becoming the International Union and during some really hard economic times, the Union introduces a cashless society -- one built through a chip implants to buy and sell. Many countries wonder after the beast. English journalist could uncover it all, everyone is free to practice their own religion until the treaty is broken by the antichrist who attacks and takes the United States out of the game through a nuclear attack. Mass persecutions and executions of all Christians as the climax builds to a giant war with a large resistance of Christians and Jews in the valley of Meggido. It's been done before but not with the seriousness and scope I'm imagining it on -- I would like to see a World War 3 done real, and right.
