The part about the VR sunglass’s is this, they are glasses that let you see your surrounding environment plus whatever you program into it. So a wall could have a famous painting on it, or a dreary street could have green trees (if you are wearing the glasses)

So as the lead walks down the street or goes to the movies, he can see the digital girlfriend he created and with earbuds hear her talking like she is really there. However, no one else can see her.

PS: The lead is great at programming AI but lousy at talking with real women. So initially he kinda wants a ‘girl’ to practice talking to, but obviously he starts to fall in love.

I'm a little confused about what the main event that forces the programmer to change is - is it that the programmer falls in love with the VR woman? I thought the event happened to the charachter, and wasn't created by them.

It's also unclear what action the MC will perform - convince his mother that this relationship is real? Change society to let him marry the VR girlfriend?

I also think that this is a little simmilar to 'Her.'

Sorry if this is a little nitpicky and not affects the story or logline that much, but from what you're describing, it sounds like it's AR (Augmented Reality) rather than VR.
