Is the detective trying to find out where is lover is? Is he trying to get revenge on his father? dpg makes the same point as I do – what actually happens in the story?

A mafia wife assumes control and seeks revenge for her husband?s murder, and when she discovers her daughter is pregnant by the son of the charming, handsome killer, she pursues a different path that forces her to come to terms with her own blossoming feelings for him.

I agree with dpg, the storyline of the daughter isn't as crucial in a logline. It's more of a plot twist element that belongs in a synopsis when you have more time to give it the attention it deserves.

Hi Isabelle! I was wondering about that too (the unfinished nature of the logline), hence why I put it up in this incarnation. Hi Isabelle! I was wondering about that too (the unfinished nature of the logline), hence why I put it up in this incarnation. I suppose this is more of a “premise” logline, in that it explains the hook. Each season of the show would have its own logline – and then each episode their own logline again!

I put twenty-something as I wanted to highlight the fact that she’s at that point in her life where she’s starting to get her act together – which is precisely when her father and mother’s lives start to fall apart. ‘Young’ is a bit more ambiguous, although I might play around with it anyway because the more I think about it the more I like it!

    Thanks!
