    wow, i want to watch this film. while i agree that the setting isn't necessary, what the first line does for me is give me genre and give me stakes. without "babies are no longer born" then the goal of needing to find "his baby daughter" is weaker and less urgent. with this first line the stakes areRead more

    while i agree that the setting isn’t necessary, what the first line does for me is give me genre and give me stakes.

    without “babies are no longer born” then the goal of needing to find “his baby daughter” is weaker and less urgent.

    with this first line the stakes are clearer and the arc is stronger.
